Torsional capacity of ultra-high-performance concrete beams using rectangle stirrup

This study studies the torsional capacity of rectangular ultra-high-performance-concrete (UHPC) beams. Nine UHPC beams were tested under pure torsion load. The failure modes presented and influences parameters, including reinforcement ratio, stirrup ratio steel fiber content discussed. experimental results showed that longitudinal had little effect on crack width plastic stiffness in serviceability stage. Increasing effectively inhibited development improved stiffness. ductility decreased with increase but increased content. cracking torque elastic less affected by twist, energy consumption, ultimate damage index was 0.85–0.90, accounts for 1/25–1/10
